RECYCLING CHANGES COMING in OCTOBER 2026
As part of the Alberta provincial Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program, the Town of Swan Hills’ recycling program will now be managed by Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization that is committed to advancing an efficient and effective recycling system across Alberta. This will include RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE COLLECTION. The Town of Swan Hills has a dedicated recycling webpage on the Circular Materials site, and it will be updated by September 30, 2026 with the latest information. This will include information about the Circular Materials curbside collection program in Swan Hills.

The curbside collection program will not be managed by the Town of Swan Hills. Residents should see information from Circular Materials through the mail system shortly. All information, including pick-up contractor, contacts, dates, acceptable material etc., will be found on the Circular Materials Swan Hills’ site: https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident…/swan-hills/
The recycle depot behind the Town Office will remain in use for residents as well.
