2:00 pm Wildfire Update:
The evacuation order remains in full effect. The Wildfire SWF 063 is in a similar position as yesterday, still encroaching the town from the northwest.
The Town of Swan Hills Emergency Management Team and Incident command Centre remain activated. The local fire department, wildfire teams, and many mutual aid partners continue to work around the community to provide protection and safety.
We urge any evacuees who have not registered to register at the Reception Centre in Barrhead or by phone at 1-825-977-4382 or 1-825-977-1462.
Reminder to evacuees that there is currently no re-entry into the community at this time. The evacuation order is still in full effect.
